Rowing to improve Mountain Biking

Hi all

Finished the BPP last May and have had a good year on the mountain bike. Over the past 3 months I have been able to stay on the bike 2-3 times per week and I have been able to maintain my rowing with 5-7500 every other day.So I am trying to improve my explosiveness on technical and steep climbs, having more quad strength will get the job done.Can anyone recommend a plan and technique to build up my needed muscles for stronger mountain biking?

Please help.
